Rice Harvest Festival

A few weekends ago we headed to Old Katy for the rice harvest festival. Despite the rain, we enjoyed walking the streets and taking a look at what all the vendors were selling. Didn't buy much--just a couple of the cutest crocheted headbands for our baby girl and of course, nothing beats a funnel cake and lemonade for festival food!



Liam had the best time at the carnival. He and I had been watching the crew set the rides up ALL WEEK as the kiddy carnival was set up right across the street from his preschool's playground (coincidence...doubtful!). He had been talking about riding the dragon roller coaster night and day--he was thrilled when he actually got to ride on it!
