Sibling Class

Because his up-coming role in life is such a big deal, Liam got to take a class just for soon-to-be big brothers and sisters at the hospital where he was born and where Olivia will be born too! He got to learn all about how life will be with baby Olivia and even take a tour of the newly remodeled Woman's hospital! He was such a great student and really loved the tour...although I think he might have been a bit disappointed that he didn't see any O.R. action!

Listening to Ms Ann very closely...don't want to miss any of the instructions!

Practicing how to diaper my new baby sister...

Remove yucky diaper....

Put clean diaper under Olivia's bottom...

Fasten diaper so it doesn't fall off!! My teacher was very impressed that I could do this ALL BY MYSELF!!

Learning how to swaddle baby Olivia

Getting my certificate and new big brother shirt for a job well done!

Dad and Liam in the new atrium at the Woman's Hospital.

Daddy insisted that Mommy get in a picture too...ugh. Getting bigger by the second!

When the class was over, Mommy and Daddy asked me where I wanted to eat dinner. I think they expected me to say a steak place or maybe Mexican food. Boy did I surprise them when I said Chinese!

Love using those chopsticks!

Yummmmmy!

My pumpkin and his!

Pumpkin carving easy as 1,2, 3, right?!? With a little help in the design department from Mom and a little muscle strength from Dad, Liam's pumpkin is surely the cutest on the block! I hope you notice the boots AND the tractor shirt. I wasn't kidding...

Step 1, remove top
Step 2, remove pumpkin goo. Be sure to NOT touch it..yuck!

Step 3..inspect to make sure Daddy got all the goo. Really, really don't want to touch that stuff!

Step 4...supervision of the delicate work

Step 5...aren't we cute!?

Big Green Tractor

Liam has a new favorite song and now you get to listen too! He asked if we could put it with his pictures on the computer, so.....
Between the must-have cowboy boots and this song I think we just might be raisin' a country boy!

Argh!

Liam just had to be Captain Hook for Halloween this year. The lure? The hook hand, of course!

Argh, Matey!
Personally, I think he's the cutest pirate ever!

Spaghetti Supper!

Liam's school hosts a spaghetti supper fundraiser and it was tonight! As an added bonus the kiddos "perform" some special songs. This is Liam's favorite! Liam is in the green shirt sitting next to the teacher!

Because there is audio to these clips, you might want to scroll down and pause the music!

This is a goodie too...

Rice Harvest Festival

A few weekends ago we headed to Old Katy for the rice harvest festival. Despite the rain, we enjoyed walking the streets and taking a look at what all the vendors were selling. Didn't buy much--just a couple of the cutest crocheted headbands for our baby girl and of course, nothing beats a funnel cake and lemonade for festival food!

Liam had the best time at the carnival. He and I had been watching the crew set the rides up ALL WEEK as the kiddy carnival was set up right across the street from his preschool's playground (coincidence...doubtful!). He had been talking about riding the dragon roller coaster night and day--he was thrilled when he actually got to ride on it!

Getting ready for fall!

Liam and I spent some time this past weekend out shopping for all things essential for a fall front porch--mums, pumpkins and of course, a hay bale! We found the best pumpkins at a new favorite nursery--Enchanted Garden. They had so much to choose from--so we didn't! Liam really enjoyed the ride around the grounds in the wagon pointing out all the pumpkins he thought we needed. Ugh...that was one heavy wagon load once we finally checked out!

Red River Rivalry

So....OU wasn't so victorious this year (yet again) but we had a great time with friends from both sides.
Nearly 50/50 split...among the kids anyway!
The 'big kids' showing their hook 'ems...Liam thank GOODNESS is totally confused as to what is being asked of him. Peace is better than horns any day, if you ask me!

Proof that we made it...

It's been a LONG day (started at 4 this morning) but we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Liam did great in surgery it was just a little more than Daddy and I were prepared for. After a good rest Liam is acting more like his old self.

Close-up of our cutie-pie...you can't really see the swelling in the right eye or the incision, but it was done too. We'll take the patch off tonight and see what we've got under there...

Dewberry Farms

We took a little jaunt into the country to Dewberry Farms on Saturday! Liam got to swing from a rope swing, ride on a barrel train, shoot ears of corn and baby pumpkins from "cannons", take a hay ride out to pick a pumpkin from the patch, feed goats, watch a pig race, get lost in a corn maze, ride a horse and even pan for 'gold'. We had a great time and really enjoyed the cooler weather! Good Morning America will be at Dewberry Farms this Friday...check it out!

My little pumpkin in the patch!

Wheeee...swingin' from a rope!

Gotta catch that train!
